Hello.
It was suggested at the meeting on February 2nd, that each person with a module, list here the theme that is used.
This will help in deciding in what order the modules can be assembled.
I await everyone's reply.
Barry.
My modules are for a transition in the track plan.
It can be used in a number of configurations. Therefore, it will have a neutral landscape and can be used between modules of different schemes.
Barry.

My straight-through track plan features no turnouts or track other than the two straight mainlines. Trying to keep the rural Toronto-Montreal mainline version of the CNR and CPR near Highway 2 in mind, I chose to show the mainlines bypassing scenes of yesterday; at the right side of my module (facing it) is a newer style two lane highway overpass at a slight angle to the tracks so that the base of the embankment can parallel the right end joining edge. Virtually any sort of module can join here with easy transition of scenery. As we move left towards the other end, a derelict mill, abandoned siding and blocked road crossing (dead-end) are shown, and the scenery finished level with a field transitioning towards mixed bush at the back. A ditch and/or fence line along the left edge will hopefully make the transition to the next module less obvious. I believe we need some straight through style modules and am trying to supress the urge to fill mine with details; our audience will be "train watchers" and I'm trying to give them a little background like I so enjoyed to watch the mainline trains roar by..........Dave Lowther

I haven't chosen any specific theme, to date. Like Barry's modules mine are transition modules; that compliment his by returning the through tracks from the rear of an inside curve module; to the front of the next adjoining module. Our track configurations also allow us to be through modules. Either of these uses of these modules results in a pair of parallel industrial sidings, that are directly accessible from the main line, on a one-to-one basis.
I hope to create a diarama style insert, that blends into scenery breaks at each end. Ultimately I want to work towards multiple inserts that allow a variety of scenic features for these modules.

Two of my modules consist of a yard with roundhouse & turntable combination, Station, 2 bay engine house with tracks eventually leading off to hidden staging tracks for each of East and West bound trafic. The mainlines divert to allow room for the station on the Eastbound line. There is also a team track on the East bound leading up to the station. The other two modules consist of first, a runthrough like Dave, which I am thinking will be a forrest and hill scene and second a runthrough with an industrial lead to perhaps a grain silo and some industrial buildings on the West bound. I have attached some preliminary pictures of the yard modules.

Nick
